You see a pile of accounts suddenly doing the same thing — all praising one person (fake popularity), or all attacking one person (a coordinated pile-on). The accounts look new, empty, or copy-paste similar. That hunch is your starting point.
Write down what you saw
For each account in the wave, note three things: who (the @handle), when (date & time), and which post they engaged. Copy the reply text too if there is one. You're just recording public things you can see — no logins, no tools, no API. (There's a one-page capture cheat-sheet if you want to be thorough.)
Let MIRAGE map it
Open a New Review, pick the platform, and add what you wrote down (type the rows, or import a spreadsheet). Hit Analyze. MIRAGE maps the network, shows whether the timing/wording/accounts converge, and gives you a plain reading — Low, Moderate, or Elevated — plus a signed report you can share.
